Police: Skateboarding teen strike by car, dies – Post-Tribune

A 16-year-old child who died from blunt force mishap injuries Friday was struck by a automobile as he was roving his skateboard on Parrish Avenue nearby 171st Street in West Creek Township, according to police.
Jacob Bergonia, 16, who lived on Parrish Avenue in Lowell, died during a scene, Lake County Sheriff’s Department orator Mark Back said.
Back pronounced military were called to a stage about 8:45 p.m. by a motorist of a car that struck a teen. The 34-year-old Lowell male pronounced he was roving south on Parrish Avenue when he celebrated a peep of light that he after dynamic to be from a dungeon phone.
“Before he satisfied what a peep was, his car done hit with a youthful pedestrian, who was roving a skateboard,” Back said.
The motorist pronounced he was roving between 40 and 45 mph during a time his car struck a teen. He stopped his car and called 911.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
